How Did This Happen?

How did Boston Steamer receive a friendlier family rating than we did? We got a PG for use of the word "bitch" three times and the word "kill," onetime. I don't remember using either word, but the robot widgets know more than I ever will. Them robots are taking over soon, for real.

I wonder what our rating will be by posting what Uncle Karl had to say the other day regarding the crazy PETA people and their disdain for fur in fashion. Oh, Uncle Karl...Such a way with words he has.

My Kwanzaa Will Never Be That Happy

If the Holidaze haven't killed you yet (and I say haven't yet because we Ricans still got Three Kings Day to celebrate on Sunday), Nobody Likes Sandra Lee has got you covered with this gross-arse Kwanzaa cake. It's sick. Just sick. I mean, seriously, are those corn nuts she topped the cake with?! Somebody stop her, please! Ugh, she makes me gag. We could sick Popcorn Chimp on her. But she'd probably scare him off, too. Awww...cutie pie...

And speaking of Three Kings Day, remember that Gimme Gimme post on calendars? Um, yeah, this is the one you can get for me. I knew fire was hott but never that caliente! Dayum! ¡Echa chispa!

I Can Haz 20th Sentury

Cheezburger. How cute is the oldest lolcat known to manz? Someone should make a pop-up book with old kitty cat photos like they did with comic book heroes in the 1930s.

Newman!

Looks like Jerry Seinfeld was onto something with that episode when Newman was caught not delivering his bags of mail. Maybe all those lazy mailmen were really just sad that they didn't get their own transfers to Hawaii.

Prezidencee...

I bet this is what Barack Obama feels like today, all giddy and shizz. Hee, hee...

I know I was all giddy last night about the win. I also know others shed tears of joy over it. And it's all good because people around the world cried a bit when they heard the news. For me? The tears came this morning when watching the recaps on the morning shows. And they felt good.

We Voted!

Have you? If not, please do.

The Jawhawk and I voted today with Candy and Skittles. It was so exciting! And it was impressive to see that the line of people waiting outside the polling station's doors was all the way down the block at 6:45ayem. I know that a vote in DC doesn't count for much, but participating in the voting process makes you forget that, especially when you get to the voting room, take your ballot, go up to the booth, and use that #2 pencil to complete the broken arrow to officially vote for Obama-Biden. That was something. I even got TWO stickers out of it!

It's gonna be a long and (hopefully) fun and rewarding night tonight! We'll see if the Mango makes it to work tomorrow morning.

Why, Rita? Why?

Oh, Rita Jean...There she goes, again, making troubles. Don't be like her and vote on the 4th. And, again, if you're in the VA, vote not on the 5th but on the 4th. And, if you're homeless in OH, you can vote, too. And, if you're in Flo-Rida, you'll have more time to vote (which, apparently, screws Johnny over and helps Barack a lot).

(Gracias to The District for turning me onto the video. High-larity.)

I'll Take the Norwegian Death Metal, Please

"Country First" taken to it's illogical conclusion. Ha!

It's Ziggy!

The New Yorker explains its cartoons. I've never found any of them funny. But I'm sure I'm not as smart as the people who write and/or read The New Yorker. Like Elaine and Jerry and Mr. Peterman. Now they were smart. Or maybe it's because they're humor was that much whiter than mine will ever be. Yeah, I like that explanation better.

Get Your Fash-On

Andre, Valentino, and Karl would all gang up on my arse and beat it to a pulp in the oh-so-fashionable-for-this-season-yet-oh-so-not purple for the title of this post. But it proves Karl's point that fashion without Valentino's spark is that much closer to being fully and completely demode. I think Karl puts it best when he says to Valentino: "This is how it's done. Compared to us, all the rest are making rags!" Nice way to keep it all about you, K. Smooches, bonito.

Just Pick Already!

Very funny article on the "undecideds" by David Sedaris. But he makes a very serious point. Who are these people, and what is there to be undecided about? The choice is pretty clear as far as I see it.

I Don't Know What's Real Anymore

The cars aren't, but the ad sure is. Obama's taken his campaign ubercyber and is posting ads in video games. Because we all know that gamers are the coveted political demographic. Might as well buy ads on Second Life and World of Warcraft while you're at it.

In all seriousness, though, it's a brilliant move. A little too invasive of personal space IMHO, but an awesome addition to his youth campaign strategy. And every bit of inventiveness matters to counter the racist bile the Right's been throwing up lately. Makes me sick. I think Tina Fey said it best when recently talking about La Palin: "If she wins, I'm done. I can't do that for four years. And by 'I'm done,' I mean I'm leaving Earth."

Natural (?) Disaster

I wonder if La Palin thought that the Russians she can see from her window were responsible for this.
