Hitting It Outta the Park

So, it's not the end of days on Rico after all. In fact, it's a great day for Rico. Last weekend's quake did little more than rattle a few bones, backwards-path Omar is safely off to sea, and Roberto Clemente's getting his own statue in Cooperstown on November 1!* He's being unveiled along with Lou Gehrig and Jackie Robinson as symbols of character and courage in baseball and life. Qualities that, unfortunately, many players today lack to too great a degree. You listenin', A-Rod?

It's Not Me, It's You (Part Deux)

Well, mis bonitos...I know you've all heard by now that Madge and Guy are calling it quits fer realz. And the UK press, in true UK press style, are already chomping at the bit for Guy to go for the jugular and claim his share of Madge's fortune because she somehow deserves it. Heh...

Whatever...How is this news? How does the dissolution of a celebrity marriage really impact the world around us? More importantly, though, do you think that Madge was sending Guy a message by wearing those pistol pumps to the premiere of her movie the other night? Do you think Karl was in on it? Or do you think it was part of a greater plan? Hmmm...?
